Electronic Medical Records time has come

When Jeff Bezos chose to aggregate the world of books because it was a highly fragmented paper-based industry filled with mom and pop shops that would benefit highly from the scale and search features and data mining of the Internet, he could have just as easily chosen Medical Records instead.

With the new Administration’s stimulus package earmarking billions for the digitalization of medical records (both carrots and sticks swinging), the time for Electronic Medical Records (EMR’s) has come. What do you think?
