DomainFest 2010, Santa Monica, CA

(from 2010) Just returned from domainfest, a conference put on by Oversee.net for Internet domainers. I was pleasantly surprised by the event. Though I’ve been “domaining” for years (purchasing good Internet URLs for either resale or future development) this was my first conference on the subject. I was skeptical of what I might find, as this industry has an overall negative stigma attached to it largely because of it’s roots in trademark squatting and early success in the registration of pornography types of names. Very interesting event though where Tony Hsieh (Zappos / Delivering Happiness) gave the keynote.
