Wall Street Downgrades Madison Avenue
The revised economic concerns of a possible “double dip” recession have caused some on the street to raise the alarm bells with respect to Madison Avenue and the advertising forecasts for 2012. Often time a renewed focus on ROI has proved positive for digital platforms, this is yet to be determined, as is the called revisions to forecast, or the double dip itself. Smart advertisers take advantage of their competitors pullbacks as an opportunity to have a strong presence with higher share-of-voice, in a less crowded (reduced noise) market.
